For wicker furniture, a few fibers are bound to come undone, leaving the surface rough and uncomfortable to sit on. Use fine-grit sandpaper to level the surface before applying waterproof varnish that is appropriate for the furniture. For fabric rips and tears, replace them to avoid keeping unsightly seam scars on display. You can use hem tape to repair minor tears and rips by placing one on the underside of the fabric, so that they're concealed from view. If they're really old slipcovers and cushion covers, consider having them replaced entirely. Keep them concealed under a waterproof tarp during the rains and winter.
If you want to do something out-of-the-box and unconventional, then this idea is perfect for you. Instead of getting something added to your patio door window, you can simply get stained glass windows. There are sure to be a lot of glass outlets where you can get beautiful stained glass, preferably in dark colors, to keep the sun's blazing light at bay. It will give your home a traditional look and feel. If you can't find stained glass, and if you're adept at glass painting, take it up as a project and paint some fantastic designs on the glass yourself. If not even that, you can surely find an artist, a family member or a friend to do the painting.
Take Measurements of the Area: Take measurements of the area that you want your umbrella to cover. While it is not necessary to cover the whole patio, it is a good idea to provide shade over the chairs or the table. Jot down the measurements in a notebook, which you can take along with you when you go shopping for the umbrella.
Knowing bleach and how tough it is, it can be used to remove stains from practically anything. Since pavers are mostly made of concrete, bleach can be a good way to remove stains from them, if used correctly.
