Change parts that cannot be fixed from prolonged use or weak joints that are close to crumbling under your weight. You don't want to hurt yourself or others, so have it checked out to see if the parts can be replaced or fixed. For loose nuts and bolts, get a screwdriver and tighten these before they pop out of place. Use a nailer or hammer nails into the woodwork, to hold it together if it needs additional support.
Never use any abrasive cleaners or brushes for the furniture, as they will scratch the surface. If your furniture has got mold on it, then it is best to clean it with half cup bleach mixed in one gallon of water.
While cutting the fabric, remember to include the thickness of the pads on all four sides and get zippers long enough to go across the long side of the cushion, with 1 to 2 inches of non-zipper space at each end.
