As the name suggests, these are made by stamping patterns onto concrete slabs. Concrete, in liquid form, is poured onto the surface to be paved, and is leveled. Then, before it starts drying, patterns are stamped (pressed) on it to give it that aesthetic appeal. This is actually quite a challenging job, as one needs to be both, quick and accurate, because if the concrete dries up before being completely stamped, or if one makes a mistake in the stamped patterns, there is no other option but to redo the entire slab!
This is a great do-it-yourself project that does not need much effort. All you need to do is scrounge around for the raw materials for the same.
The kind of patio furniture you have will determine to a large extent, the type of cushions you will be needing. For such furniture covers, keep in mind that they are going to remain outdoors, and so, you need to choose fabrics that are sun resistant and durable. Flimsy and delicate fabrics like silk, tulle, and satin do not work well in such cases, as the color will fade over time. Humidity and rains will also destroy them. So, the best fabrics available are linen, cotton, acrylic, teflon, polyester blends, and awning fabrics. These are a great choice because they are not only durable but also easy to clean. You can also apply a coating of Scotchgard on the cushion covers so that they are resistant to sun and rain. This will greatly increase their life and keep the fabric from rotting.
